The Smiters of Iniquity is a new religion founded on the concept that humans are created in the image of the universe (which we regard as "god"), because humans, like the universe, are mostly carbon-based life forms.
I've decided to also incorporate a bit of traffic law, specifically related to four-way stops, and people talking on cellular phones while driving.
Now, to be on the safe side (i.e. to not offend TOO many people), we acknowledge that Jesus Christ did exist, and he had some good stories. This point of view is echoed in Judaism and Islam, religious groups we also acknowledge as having good stories.
I think we can say that the expression of god in my new religion is in the universe itself, where we are made in the same image (carbon life forms in humanity echo the carbon structure of the universe).
To this end, we have decided that any mostly-carbon creation is good enough to pray to. This includes all plastic items, except images of Tom Cruise, who is considered to be NMC (not mostly-carbon).
The official SOI salute is raising the middle finger of the hand.
There are no alternate realities, unless you've had sleep deprivation.
We do allow split infinitives.
We are not Wiccan.
Dancing naked is entirely optional.
Dancing pirates arrrrrre also entirely optional.
